The Amazon Energy Procurement Operations (EPO) team manages supply contracts post execution, provides controllership and governance of energy spend, tracks environmental attributes and ensures our energy supply portfolio is compliant with external regulations, contract obligations as well as internal policies. You will be a part of the team responsible for managing the world's largest portfolio of corporate renewable energy contracts.
We are looking for an individual to join our OpXL team and enhance our programs, including onboarding new energy projects and contracts, overseeing data connectivity management, analyzing and reporting renewable energy project performance, and tracking key contractual metrics and obligations. The right candidate can manage multiple projects simultaneously, has an analytical skill set, experience with business process improvement, prior understanding of Power Purchase Agreements and Energy Supply Agreements, and experience defining and reporting metrics in BI tools.
Key job responsibilities
• \tSupport oversight of energy agreements and renewable power purchase agreements globally.
• \tSupport the on-boarding process for energy contracts across different geographies with a large number of counterparties and internal stakeholders. Track progress and drive for successful completion.
• \tSupport data connectivity activities, including oversight of vendors and service providers, planning and scheduling activities, commercial issue resolution, and overall management of data connections.
• \tReport and analyze portfolio performance in collaboration with other teams, identifying impacts to our business units and our customers.
• \tSupport the management of the contractual obligations with counterparties.
• \tPlan and drive execution of initiatives to improve our energy operations. Continuously seek to invent and simplify in order to achieve further scale effect for Amazon's management of its energy portfolio.
• \tWork collaboratively with other AWS and Amazon teams to support the management of the energy programs.
• \tConsolidate portfolio reporting KPIs to help define program goals and use metrics to draw business insights.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• \tBachelor's degree or equivalent
• \t3+ years of Program/Project management experience.
• \t3+ years of exp. managing programs/processes, building reports, metrics, and reporting mechanisms.
• \t3+ years of exp with data visualization tools and project management software
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• \tExperience in renewable energy or utility operations
• \tKnowledge of energy markets, power purchase agreements, project operations, and settlements
• \tExperience with Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Quicksight, Salesforce, or similar tools
• \tTrack record of implementing process improvements at scale
• \tExperience working in utility/energy industry - compliance, regulatory, asset/contract management, market operations or similar
• \tExperience in reporting and analyzing performance of wind and solar projects
• \tExperience in managing transactions - supplier management, contract management, or managing commercial relationships with vendors or customers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $107,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
