Sr. Water Resources Engineer for our
Shelton, CT office. Be involved in projects with our Shelton Water Engineering Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges.
Provides support to technical staff and project managers for analysis, design, bidding, and construction phase services for water and wastewater improvements. Tasks may include assisting with the analysis, development, and design of processes and infrastructure relating to water supply, transmission, distribution, and treatment, along with wastewater collection and conveyance. Provides technical assistance to developing professionals, and assists project managers with prioritizing and reviewing work by developing professionals. Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards.
Your Impact - Experience in pipeline and pump station design, including developing and evaluating project alternatives.
- Brings knowledge and understanding of drinking water and/or wastewater management strategies and solutions.
- Experience in treatment processes.
- Manage design tasks and identify changes and risks.
- Support preparation of design plans, cost estimates and special provisions.
- Develop memorandums and other written technical documents.
- Perform complex design tasks and develop drawings using AutoCAD and other software systems.
- Prepare project deliverables, including engineering reports, plans, specifications, estimates, project memorandums, and other documents as required.
- Determine client requirements and contribute to the development of scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Perform specialized assignments which call for an application of professional expertise.
- Plan, schedule, coordinate and oversee the work of lower-level engineers.
- Perform site work as required.
- And other duties as assigned.
Who You AreRequired Qualifications - Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- 4-7+ years of experience in water/wastewater facility design and engineering.
- Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience leading design tasks.
- Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.
- Ability to think strategically and creativity, and craft approaches to challenging problems.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Preferred Qualifications - Licensed professional engineer.
- A member of and/or actively participate in local professional practice organizations.
CompensationExpected Salary: $100,000 - $150,000
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
