National Grid Renewables is seeking an Asset Manager to support its growing pipeline of operating wind, solar, and energy storage assets. This role is well-suited for a highly organized, punctual, and self-motivated individual. This position will be the main point of contact for multiple assets, each with their own unique obligations and contracts. Must have experience analyzing and reviewing contracts. Strong written and oral communication skills are required. Understanding of solar, storage, and wind facility design, operation, management, and financing is a plus.
Duties - P&L Management
- Review monthly operational performance and financial variance reports. Investigate and remedy any variances to the budget.
- Review gross margin performance and work with internal teams to explain variances and develop strategies to maximize value.
- Develop annual project budgets and update monthly accrual and cash forecasts and financial models as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams and manage plant optimization, warranty claims, insurance claims, and revenue optimization and recovery efforts.
- Initiate and/or support major projects, divestitures, capital investment, refinance, and revenue enhancement proposals.
- Assist accounting and analysts on financial administration for operating projects including billing and revenue collection, invoice tracking, settlements etc.
- Coordinate with Market Operations regarding asset market strategy and revenue maximization
- Commercial Management, Compliance, and Reporting
- Ensure strict compliance with all projects governing documents including Power Purchase Agreements, Hedge Agreements, O&M Agreements, Interconnection Agreements, land leases, Financing Agreements, and LLC Agreements as well as ISO/RTO regulations.
- Communicate regularly with counterparties and respond promptly to all customer requests; find and implement a solution quickly and effectively
- Prepare of quarterly and annual regulatory filings as required
- Operational Management
- Collaborate with the operations engineering team to evaluate and suggest improvement for operational performance
- Contribute information and analysis to contract negotiations during development, operational improvement initiatives, merger and acquisition activity or legal issues
- Work on an as-needed basis with Development, Operations, Legal, Finance, Permitting, and Accounting
- Manage third-party Operations & Maintenance (O&M) providers, ensuring adherence to O&M agreements.
- Identify and optimize spare parts strategy for major components.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's or equivalent undergraduate degree with concentration in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Physics and/or Engineering OR equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of successful U.S. energy industry experience in Asset Management or a related field
- Familiarity with energy financing structures required
- Excellent project management skills coupled with organization, flexibility, and strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish effective working relationships and articulate issues and subject matter to process owners while being a team player
- Strong ability to review and analyze financial and technical data
- Strong understanding of project finance, legal contracts, accounting, and contract negotiations.
- Proficient computer skills to enable electronic management of contracts and terms.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Pay Range for the posted level: $90,000.00 - 120,000.00
