As the Senior Manager, Supply Chain Sustainability, you will play a crucial role in achieving Freeman's goals of reducing our footprint by 50% by 2030, reaching net zero by 2050, and achieving zero waste. You will lead engagement and collaboration with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to progress our goals, align our programs with our commitment to environmental stewardship and ensure our events are both memorable and environmentally responsible.
This position will support our Sustainability team and is eligible to work a remote schedule. Our ideal candidate will be based out of Dallas, TX; however, we are also open to considering candidates based out of the following areas:
- Las Vegas, NV
- Nashville, TN
- Orlando, FL
Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Lead initiatives to promote sustainable practices within the company and among stakeholders.
- Work on a wide variety of projects both internally and externally, across a multi-faceted enterprise to imbed and drive our sustainability goals.
- Help to identify, track, and promote sustainability opportunities at Freeman.
- Help shape a sustainable value chain throughout the product lifecycle including requirements development, assessments, evaluation, and product strategy
- Collaborate with Freeman supply chain team to develop policies, practices, and reporting that support sustainability
- Working with Freeman operations, suppliers, and innovators to develop programs for end-of-life
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure sustainable sourcing practices
- Monitor, audit, and evaluate the environmental impact of supply chain activities.
- Identify opportunities for reducing waste and improving resource efficiency.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in sustainable supply chain management.
- Prepare and present reports on sustainability metrics and progress to senior management.
- Promote a culture of sustainability by operationalizing initiatives and best practices into the business internally and externally with suppliers and partners.
- Develop and implement training programs and processes to enhance the sustainability skill sets of supply chain resources.
- Support metrics tracking by working with suppliers to oversee their development, measurement and tracking processes and dashboards for sustainability KPI's.
- Support internal and external reporting requirements as needed.
- Manage systems for sustainability certification processes and updates certifications as needed.
Education & Experience - 7-10 years of industry experience.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four year university or college is preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience is required .
- Proven track record for contributing to successful, dynamic, and evolving organizations.
- Experience and credibility to earn the trust of key internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience developing and managing supplier engagement programs, especially in sustainability.
- Deep experience coordinating collaborative efforts to develop and deliver impactful programs and high-quality reporting, presenting data and trends in a clear and concise manner for stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong knowledge of supply chains including sourcing, procurement, transportation/supply chain logistics, waste.
- Strong knowledge of sustainability standards, practices, and programs (e.g. carbon accounting, CDP, ESG, ISO) and in particular leading scope 3 programs.
- Effective presentation style and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Solid financial understanding and risk analysis ability, as well as change management, relationship building and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-functional cross geography team, with minimal supervision.
- Ability to effectively communicate and work side by side with operations.
- Creative and thoughtful planning and relationship building across all internal departments to create successful sustainability programs.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft O365 platform including Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
