Job Summary The Procurement Specialist is responsible for data management, working with vendors for onboarding, and gathering and entering crucial data for construction management software. Communication experience with external vendors to encompass all aspects of direct material procurement from sourcing goods, through order fulfillment and expediting. The Procurement Specialist will assist with startup mobilization project-related material and equipment following procurement guidelines with the guidance of the Logistics Manager.

- Source / submit RFQs from preferred suppliers on critical long-lead materials.
- Support active projects' logistics needs and assist with any materials / deliveries / vendors and associated reporting.
- Maintain good ethical relationships with suppliers in accordance with internal governance and compliance requirements.
- Support the onboarding process for suppliers and subcontractors.
- Identify, select, and contract with new supplier partners to support RFQs for future projects in the pipeline.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leads to ensure alignment on current requests or priorities while following communication protocols.
- Expedite equipment and materials purchased for projects in coordination with job site's personnel.
- Collaboration with project's logistics personnel while assisting the site's services set-up and ordering equipment, tools and materials for same.
Knowledge/Skills/Ability- Working knowledge of personal computers and basic software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, and accounting related programs and protocols
- Cost analysis proficiency to prepare and analyze comparisons and schedules using a company provided computer and standard company software
- Impeccable attention to detail and delivery of high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Knowledge of AP systems is a plus, purchase order drafts, and traditional procurement techniques and methods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of major equipment vendors
Education - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field and or Certified Supply Chain or relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience- 2+ years of experience in the supply chain & logistics industry or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in logistics, forecasting, and equipment procurement
- Experience working on multiple projects while prioritizing effectively, managing competing expectations, and meeting deadlines
- Renewable energy industry experience/ knowledge industry preferred
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsProfessional certifications are a plus.
