SUMMARY:
Natus Sensory, Inc., is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to oversee the environmental health and safety (EHS) aspects of our facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all EHS regulations, promote a safe and healthy work environment, and manage the maintenance and operations of our facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Manage the maintenance and operations of the facility, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems.
• Coordinate emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness.
• Oversee waste management and recycling programs to promote sustainability.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure EHS standards are integrated into all operations.
• Provide training and education to employees on EHS policies and procedures.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs to ensure all employees are knowledgeable about workplace safety practices and procedures.
• Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage budgets and allocate resources for facility maintenance and EHS initiatives.
• Maintain records and documentation related to EHS compliance and facility operations.
Travel Required:
Some travel is required, up to 20%
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervise and lead employee(s), overseeing hiring, training, performance appraisals, and conflict resolution.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management with a focus on EHS preferred.
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Certification in EHS or facilities management (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH, IFMA) is preferred.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the facility for extended periods.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs, and work at heights.
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, and noise.
• Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment.
