SummaryThe Manager of Policy, Sustainability acts as an independent contributor to manage issues and advocate sustainability positions of the preeminent global companies in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector. As a key member of ITI's Sustainability Policy Group (SPG), you will engage in domestic and international sustainability policies throughout the full product life cycle.
The Manager of Policy supports ITI's SPG engagement globally and, as appropriate, works with member companies, government agencies, other trade associations and ITI teams to identify issues and support broad sector initiatives, including industry efforts to drive global alignment of product design mandates, standards and specifications, and regional/country specific regulations.
You will be responsible for: - Leading ITI's development of technical specifications and standards, serving as a technical expert and developing consensus positions among members
- Managing one or more SPG member committees, both individually and coordinating with other ITI team members, to identify and resolve member sustainability issues
- Providing thought leadership and support to leading IT companies in relation to established and emerging SPG priorities across the full product life cycle
- Writing and compiling comments for public consultations, writing and sending letters to regional and national government bodies, and coordinating with allied trade organizations on members' behalf.
- Working closely with colleagues from the other ITI teams (Policy, Government Relations and Public Affairs), ITI member companies, and allied trade associations to anticipate emerging trends and craft responsive strategies in relation to product issues and regulatory compliance.
- Representing ITI in various coalitions and advisory committees on various sustainability issues.
Your qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in science, public policy, law, or another related field
- Ability to quickly understand, digest and communicate complex policy concepts to ITI colleagues, company representatives and policymaker audiences.
- 1 - 3 years' work experience on relevant policy issues, preferably in a trade association, business, advocacy or government setting.
- Prior information and communications technology (ICT) experience a plus.
- Experience working on product sustainability and regulatory issues identified above, whether in the ICT context, or relevant experience in government affairs and public policy.

Pay range: $70,000 - 75,000
