Field Biologist to play a key role in supporting and testing innovative products that protect communities from mosquito-borne diseases.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECTAs a Field Biologist, you'll be on the front lines of mosquito control, working outdoors in diverse environments to conduct field trials, collect data, and collaborate with customers and internal teams. Your work will directly contribute to the optimization and validation of groundbreaking mosquito control products used across the U.S. and internationally.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and executing field trials to assess product efficacy in real-world conditions
- Collaborating with customers and public health professionals to implement and refine mosquito control strategies
- Conducting research to enhance mosquito control methodologies and understand mosquito behavior
- Traveling frequently (including overnight stays) to field sites in a variety of weather conditions, including heat and humidity
- Supporting lab-based bioassays and product development when not in the field
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS ROLE- B.S. (M.S. a plus) in entomology, biology, environmental science, or a related field
- Experience in biological research, field studies, and data collection; mosquito control experience a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and adaptability in changing field conditions
- Ability to work in outdoor environments with heat, humidity, and uneven terrain
- Strong interpersonal skills for working directly with customers, field teams, and researchers
- Computer proficiency for data collection, statistical analysis, and report writing
- Willingness and flexibility to travel for fieldwork, sometimes on short notice
- This position will be based in Florida, with the exact location being flexible. We will consider candidates that are not located in Florida but willing to relocate.
