About the Internship   
Integral is seeking spring and summer interns for the following business areas:  Investigation and Remediation; Marine, Coastal, Climate, and Technology; Health and Ecology; and Natural Resources and Environmental Economics. As an intern, you will work alongside Integral’s interdisciplinary teams of environmental scientists, toxicologists, data managers, and engineers to gain hands-on experience in environmental consulting. This internship is designed to help bridge the gap between formal education and the workplace. The program includes:

Responsibilities 
As an Environmental Scientist or Engineering Intern, your job functions may include, but not be limited to:  

  • Leading data preparation activities such as organizing, tracking, and summarizing environmental data sources
  • Performing quality assurance reviews of technical analyses and results
  • Researching and summarizing technical findings
  • Conducting statistical data analyses and preparing summaries
  • Completing calculations to support human health and ecological risk assessments
  • Field sampling for hydrogeologic investigations.

Qualifications 
Candidates must be a recent graduate or currently pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree in geology, hydrogeology, civil or environmental engineering, biology, toxicology, public health, economics, or related scientific/engineering field.  

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • Experience in an environmentally focused discipline (i.e., human or ecological exposure and risk assessment, geology, hydrology, environmental/geochemistry, environmental engineering, human or ecological exposure and risk assessment, toxicology, or similar)
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft® Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • A desire to grow both intellectually and professionally
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers

Hourly compensation ranges from $24 to $30 per hour, available for both part-time and full-time during the spring/summer. Interns are eligible for company-subsidized (employee and family) medical, dental, and vision insurance.  

This position may offer in-remote, in-office, or hybrid opportunities based on the candidate’s location and the needs of the organization.
