We're seeking an
Engineering Manager - Energy Engineers to lead and oversee all corporate energy engineering initiatives while ensuring alignment with company objectives and standards. Reporting to an
Engineering Principal, this role includes
managing and developing a team of energy engineers, fostering professional growth through
coaching, mentoring, and annual development planning.
The
Engineering Manager will collaborate with their supervisor and fellow
Engineering Principals to make strategic staffing and resource allocation decisions. They will also work closely with the
Performance Contracting (PC) team, including
PC Sales, Project Development (PD), and Project Management (PM), to ensure the Energy Engineering team delivers high-quality, compliance-driven analyses and reports that meet both
private client and governmental standards.
Additionally, this role is responsible for keeping the team
at the forefront of industry advancements, ensuring compliance with
codes, regulations, best practices, and emerging technologies to maintain MMFS's leadership in energy engineering.

- Strategically Plan for Growth - Monitor and forecast team workload, ensuring proactive planning for future staffing needs.
- Manage Budgets Effectively - Track and meet project energy engineering budgets, coordinating adjustments as needed with account executives.
- Become a Subject Matter Expert - Establish yourself as the go-to authority on regulations and programs that impact the Energy Engineering team.

Engineering Manager - Energy Engineers reports to an
Engineering Principal and plays a key role in a collaborative team driving strategic projects and initiatives to support our growing business. This high-impact position engages with stakeholders across all levels and functions of the organization, ensuring alignment and visibility across departments.
Your Background: What kind of person will thrive in this role?
You should have... - Proven experience managing and mentoring energy engineers, fostering professional growth and team success.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in energy engineering and performance contracting, including building audits, data collection, energy calculations (Excel), and developing Investment Grade Audits (IGA) and other technical reports.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification preferred; additional certifications such as Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) are a plus.
- A strong track record of delivering high-quality audits and reports, with the ability to review and stamp reports as the Engineer of Record (PE) or Qualified Person.
- In-depth knowledge of current codes, regulations, industry best practices, and emerging technologies, with the ability to apply company standards effectively.

BenefitsCompensation: $130,000 to $170,000 Annually
