JOB SUMMARYThe Assistant Aquatic Coordinator is responsible for assisting with facility operations at City of Conroe Aquatic facilities and other areas as needed. Specific areas of operation include lifeguards, admissions, and rentals.
QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience:Minimum 18 years of age and high school diploma or equivalent required. College credit, customer service, and supervisory experience preferred.
Special Requirements:- Current American Red Cross certifications: Lifeguard, First Aid and CPR.
- Valid Texas Class "C" driver license.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Ability to interact directly with the public utilizing excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to understand and follow City of Conroe policies and procedures.
- Ability to evaluate and improve existing operations and programs.
- Knowledge and ability to lifeguard and teach lifeguard courses as assigned.
- Independent thinking is required under general supervision.
- Attend training sessions, seminars, workshops, and certifications as assigned.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Outlook; able to learn and use applicable web-based programs (i.e., ActiveNet, When to Work, Kronos) and others as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe work is medium and requires the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: balancing, climbing, crouching, feeling, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, standing, talking, and walking.
