The Manager, Environmental, Health and Safety will support sites located in Lansdale, PA and satellite locations in creating and maintaining policies/procedures required to adhere to CAES HSE and regulatory programs. This person will provide direction to assist the organization in meeting and maintaining CAES's "No Harm" standard and preparing the sites to comply with corporate initiatives that are derived from ISO 14001/45001. The HSE Manager will also be instrumental in providing direction and support for the site's HSE programs which include ergonomics, fall protection, hazardous materials, air compliance, lock out/tag out, and more. The ideal candidate for this role will have an HSE generalist background/experience, great organizational skills, an understanding of reporting metrics, and the ability to drive continuous improvement by engaging the site's other business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure that all stages of site HSE strategy are achieving targets and producing deliverables
- Participate and lead site in integration activities with new HSE systems and program deployment
- Lead and mentor direct reports in managing the site's HSE program
- Create, review and revise company HSE policies/procedures as necessary
- Perform periodic inspections of work areas
- Sponsor and lead employee-owned HSE Teams including Safety Committee, First Responders, Evacuation Wardens, Sustainability, Spill Response, etc.
- Support and provide guidance to office-based locations in Clearwater, FL and Colorado Springs, CO
- Develop, track, and report internal and regulatory HSE metrics
- Develop, improve and deliver safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices
- Collaborate with senior management on high risk projects, steering committee meetings, etc.
- Ensure communication avenues are established to share HSE news as well as gather stakeholder inputs
- Manage site emergency response plans and business continuity planning
- Complete regulatory reports for both federal and state regulators
- Travel requirements of 10%-15% US.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:- High School Diploma or GED.
- Three (3)+ years of experience working in an HSE Field.
- Three (3)+ years of experience with people management.
- Three (3)+ years of experience in ergonomic principals and practice including ability to develop new and improved techniques in ergonomics that address injury trends and impact positive risk reductions.
- Two (2)+years of experience with the implementation of Safety Committees, First Responder Teams, etc.
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree.
- Strong computer skills with regard to working in a networked environment using a Windows and/or Windows-like interface using Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word software programs.
- Ability to create and develop trainings on all aspects of HSE.
- Presentation skills - ability to conduct HSE trainings.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- CSP/CIH Certifications encouraged but not required.
Salary Range: Manager, Environmental, Health and Safety : $118,701.65 - $178,052.48 annually. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as business results.
