Job Summary:
Professional Engineer (PE) - Solar Permitting and Engineering
Position Overview: We are seeking a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with multi-state licensure in California, Texas, and Florida to lead our solar permitting and engineering projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for stamping all plans, providing training, and offering minimal oversight to outsourcing agents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan Stamping: Review and approve all solar project plans, ensuring compliance with state-specific regulations and industry standards.
- Expand Licensure: Study and pass tests in additional states to expand business opportunities for the company.
- Training: Develop and deliver training programs for internal teams and outsourcing agents to ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Oversight: Provide minimal supervision to outsourcing agents, ensuring quality control and timely project delivery.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on state-specific engineering licensure requirements and ensure all projects meet local codes and standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, designers, and external partners to ensure seamless project execution.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Active PE licenses in California, Texas, and Florida and other states
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in solar engineering, with a focus on permitting and compliance.
- Skills: Strong understanding of structural and electrical aspects of solar projects; excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering; a Master's degree is a plus.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience in training and overseeing teams or external partners.
- Familiarity with state-specific regulations in California, Texas, and Florida.
