PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collaborate with manager to establish strategic direction and objectives.
• Assist with supplier qualification, evaluation, and re-evaluation processes.
• Assist with commercial negotiations.
• Support the procurement team with developing appropriate sources of supply.
• Initiate sourcing (price/availability) process by issuing RFQ's.
• Analyze quotes received and making recommendations for award.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and change orders.
• Input and maintain necessary data/records in the company purchasing system.
• Research and resolve accounts payable and accounts receivable discrepancies.
• Assist in procurement reporting requirements, commodity performance metrics and vendor scorecards.
• Maintain a cooperative working relationships with suppliers to stay current with trends and technologies, products, and services.
• Work closely with Expeditor to ensure suppliers meeting contract schedule and delivery requirements.
• Maintain key procurement documents to ensure Project Team is informed of material constraints and risks.
• Ability to travel as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Require a 2-year Degree in Business or Management or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years' Purchasing/Buyer experience in the Construction and/or Engineering field.
• Preference given for experience in Solar, Renewable Energy or Power Generation.
PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Preference given for bilingual candidates.
• Experience in Microsoft (Word, Excel, etc.) is required.
• Experience with Viewpoint preferred.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
