This position will be located at 111 Fairground Road, Rolla, MO 65401. Regular work schedule Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. with occasional overnight travel and field work.
As the Environmental Geology Section Manager you will work in a dynamic atmosphere leading a dedicated team of managers, geologists and other team members to assist a variety of internal and external stakeholders in environmental decision-making regarding site remediation, contaminant migration, subsurface investigations, and geologic hazards. You will use your managerial skills to direct the planning, development, and administration of the Environmental Geology Section, including overseeing highly technical geologic and hydrologic evaluations for a number of environmental purposes including: residential housing (subdivisions), wastewater lagoons, concentrated animal feeding operations, groundwater tracing, solid and hazardous waste disposal sites, underground storage tanks, underground injection control projects, land reclamation permits, mass animal mortality events, and geologic hazards. You will oversee budgets from numerous funding sources and ensure quality deliverables for a variety of geoscience projects.
