Tesla's Energy Operations Service team operates & maintains deployed assets including North American residential & commercial solar, global behind-the-meter & front-of-meter storage, and global electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The role will be expected to closely partner with both Operations and Software teams to understand business processes, identify structural process improvements, define Software requirements, demonstrate system features with diverse users, and partner with Software Product Managers to standardize and automate workflows.
The Energy Service Transformation & Analytics team is embedded in daily operations, supporting both near-term execution and long-term planning. Team members are expected to partner closely with the business to analyze technical data, provide recommendations, and lead cross-functional decision-making and implementation of the recommendations.
Responsibilities - Define business requirements to technical Software Engineers, synthesizing stakeholder problem statements into user stories and application personas
- Partner with Software Engineers and challenge proposed solutions to meet requirements
- Write database updates and basic software code as needed to support bulk changes and administration of software tools for business users
- Validate Software development in stage or test environments to confirm desired behavior before deployment, including coordination and information transfers through multiple applications
- Effectively communicate process and software changes to all stakeholders across multiple organizations/ teams, with reinforcing quantitative measurements to ensure compliance
- Drive problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives with cross functional teams to improve end to end service processes
- Provide accurate and insightful analysis and reporting, presenting the data in a clear format for presentations and regular KPI reviews
Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, and/or other quantitative and technical fields or equivalent experience
- Evidence of exceptional ability, especially within an ambiguous environment
- Experience in technical project management for software migration and systems development
- 3-5 years of experience in program manager or other structured business environments
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and other project management tools.
- Excellent analytical skills (e.g., Microsoft Office applications, SQL, Tableau, etc.)
- Highly collaborative, team oriented, and comfortable leading cross-functional projects, especially those consisting of both technical and non-technical stakeholders

$80,000 - $186,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
