Class SummaryThis is a part-time position with a maximum of 1,508 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays, leave, or benefits.Job DescriptionThis position will provide a variety of clerical and customer services functions, including answering phone calls from the public, light typing of emails/flyers, filing, copying, faxing, opening and distributing mail, and/or performing other related activities. The ideal candidate must have customer services experience including excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Essential Duties- Provides customer support, such as answering phone calls and emails from customers
- Performs basic office duties, such as copying, filing, faxing, typing standard documents, preparing, sorting, and distributing mail and entering data.
- Manages cash handling
Hourly rateSalary will be dependent on education and experience.
Minimum Qualifications- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Minimum of two years customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications in addition to the above minimum qualifications- Bilingual English/Spanish

The 14 departments that make up the executive side are Police Services, Fire and Emergency Services, Corrections, Communications, Support Services, Financial Services, Community Services, Human Resources, Information Technology Services, Law, Planning and Development, Water Resources, Child Advocacy & Juvenile Services, and Transportation. Each department is run by a director who is charged with managing operations in a manner which stresses the County's values.
In addition to the executive side of County government, certain services are provided through Constitutional officers and independent elected officials. These external offices are created by the Georgia Constitution or through state law. In Gwinnett, they include the Sheriff, Tax Commissioner, District Attorney, Solicitor, Probate Court Judge, and Chief Magistrate.
