Job Summary:

The Sr. Safety Engineer provides critical support and technical guidance for safety and health programs at the Nashville manufacturing facility. The role involves identifying risks, providing recommendations to mitigate or eliminate hazards, conducting project Management of Change (MOC) safety reviews, assessing compliance with safety regulations, and leading or assisting with accident investigations and corrective actions. The Sr. Safety Engineer will also engage with personnel across all levels of the organization and assist with corporate safety assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
Observe and identify risks within the manufacturing facility, providing actionable recommendations to reduce or eliminate potential hazards.Lead or assist in conducting project Management of Change (MOC) safety reviews for new and existing processes.Assess compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations as well as company safety directives.Lead and/or assist with accident investigations, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future incidents.Prepare stakeholders for corporate safety assessments and provide guidance on necessary corrective actions.Engage with personnel at all levels of the organization to promote a safety-first culture and ensure adherence to safety protocols.Provide training and support on safety programs, policies, and regulatory compliance to ensure a safe working environment.Assist in the preparation and review of safety documentation and reports, ensuring accurate records are maintained.Stay up-to-date on safety trends, regulations, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to the organization's safety program.
Required Qualifications:

A 4-year degree in Occupational Safety & Health or a related field.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in Safety & Health in a manufacturing environment.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification is required.
In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, including OSHA standards, and experience in maintaining compliance.
Proven experience in conducting accident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence personnel at all levels of the organization.
Excellent project management skills, with experience managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Ability to develop and deliver safety training programs and conduct safety assessments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with environmental health and safety (EHS) regulations and initiatives.
Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role within a safety program.

Certifications:

CSP (Certified Safety Professional) certification is required.
