You will be a Chemical Engineer for our team, providing subject matter expertise in chemical engineering to support training and operational events. Our team is responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of chemical synthesis and analytical processes, and we're looking for a skilled Chemical Engineer to join our ranks.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Chemical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing scientific input and expertise for aspects of chemical engineering, including chemical synthesis, testing protocols, and analysis. You will work closely with our team to aid in the setup of training involving chemical production and controls, and provide guidance on chemical challenges.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access and is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications
1.Experience providing technical advice on the analysis, application, maintenance, and integration of systems to support SOF operations and training of tactics, techniques, and procedures.
2.Fundamental knowledge of engineering principles to include advanced mathematics, general physics, materials engineering, chemistry, and thermodynamics.
3.Experience in statistical data collection and analysis.
4.Ability to assist government-lead with technical project oversight from external organizations including national labs, DoD, DHS, and private industry partners.
5.Assist government-lead to generate end-user specifications, capability gaps, and produce test and evaluation strategies.
6.Provide (chemical-focused) engineering and technical expertise on matters pertaining to the capabilities of military systems.
7.Participate in activities that may require personal protective equipment, to include boots, garments, and respirators in accordance with OSHA regulations.
8.Participate in activities that may require personal-monitoring equipment, to include radiation dosimetry, in accordance with OHSA regulations.
9.Must be able to obtain and posses a TS/SCI security clearance.
10.Must be able to pass a pre-deployment physical and CRC
11.Must be able to lift a minimum of 40lbs overhead.
Desired skills
Experience interfacing directly with fabricators and vendors in order to produce hardware.
Experience with conventional and non-conventional military weapons systems.
Identify technical issues arising from the operation of military systems in a combat theater of operations.
Generate analysis results and recommendations that inform decision-making, test planning, and technology implementation.

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
