We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking an
Intern, Environmental Engineer or Environmental Scientist to join our Hawaii team during the summer of 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to get some hands-on, working field experience and be a valuable contributor to our project teams. This role will be about 3 months long starting inMay 2025. Thisis a
full-time temporary position located in
Honolulu, HI or
Maui, HI office.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESThe successful candidate will:- Serve in a field support role, working on technically challenging projects.
- Assist engineers and Project Managers with the planning and execution of environmental programs.
- Assist with evaluation of environmental data.
- Express a willingness to visit airport facilities and construction sites to assist in the field with our airport tenant and construction inspection groups.
- Attend weekly Lunch and Learns.
- Attend weekly Internship Community Sessions.
- Prepare and deliver a presentation at the end of the Summer to include, but not limited to: overall internship experience, technical projects review, favorite project, biggest obstacle, etc.
- Demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn.
- Be a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
- Exhibit strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in all MS Office software.
- Possess a driver's license (highly preferred).
- Have ability to work for 3 or more consecutive months on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 weeks preferred).
- Conduct other duties as assigned.
- Relocationassistance and housing are not provided for this internship.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE- Candidate should be at least 2 years into their academic career in pursuit of a baccalaureate degree.
- Candidate should be enrolled in environmental science, civil/environmental engineering, natural resources, geology, or geoscience educational program (undergraduate or graduate).

The salary range for this position in
Honolulu, HI and Maui, HI is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions. Haley & Aldrich reviews salary ranges each quarter to assess competitiveness with the market.
