Energy Finance Project Manager
The Opportunity: As the Energy Finance Project Manager, you'll work with Project Development Leads to research, analyze, and develop project finance models to anticipate and underwrite feasible federal energy projects such as ESPC, UESC, or PPA. You'll apply energy or cost modeling, utility regulatory, and market expertise along with general consulting skills to develop cost-effective energy projects. These analyses will range from high-level desktop analysis to more detailed "investment-grade" pro formas from metered data. This position will provide financial support to a large cross-section of our team and is integral to the team's long-term success.
As the Energy Finance Project Manager on our team, you'll gain the ability to build an overall picture of your client's structure, day-to-day operations, and desired outcomes in a manner that they may not have thought of before. You'll learn to use discussions and workshops with leadership, engineers, and analysts to collaboratively develop innovative energy projects with broad support. Additionally, once you have a solid understanding of where and how the organization can improve, you'll lay out the path forward and expected results to internal and client leadership. You Have: - 5+ years of experience working for or with energy companies in the U.S.
- Experience with utility or Energy Services Company (ESCO) performance contracting
- Experience with financial and capital markets, public-private partnerships, and financial modeling, including in Excel
- Experience applying the financial attributes of state renewable portfolio standards (RPS) and tax advantage programs
- Experience advising senior clients and stakeholders
- Experience with analysis of energy consumption, energy rates, and life cycle costs used in preparing business case and SIR analyses
- Experience in multiple levels of analysis from desktop to onsite investigation
- Ability to lead discussions with senior leadership, work with engineers and technical experts, manage schedule and workload successfully, and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
