- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Saturday 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM (as needed)
- Pay Range: $28 - $35 per hour (depends on experience)

What You'll Do- Actively participate and assist in leading team with CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture (Take 2, Observation Cards and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
- Assist with the supervision of equipment and Yard Operator activities throughout shift
- Responsible for follow up on all daily pre-op equipment inspection for team
- Lead pre-shift meeting to include safety topics, stretch exercises and daily plan
- Monitor all operations of the Shears, mobile and fixed equipment
- Assist department to meet quality (ISO) goals and requirements
- Ensure housekeeping of area is performed to keep the caster clean and maintain a safe working environment
- Recommend improvements regarding safety, inventory accuracy, equipment preservation, and reduced non-value-added production time
What You'll Need- Minimum five (5) years of Yard experience
- Previous supervisory experience in an operations environment preferred but not required
- Thorough knowledge of rail/truck traffic flow, Scrap Identification, loading/unloading procedures, and Scrap processing preferred
- Knowledge of Yard fixed and mobile equipment and scrap quality inspection procedures preferred (inbound and outbound material)
- Proven experience in utilizing math, verbal, mechanical, analytical and planning skills
- Ability to operate mobile equipment
- Basic to intermediate computer skills including MS Word, Kronos and SAP
- Proven self-starter with experience developing individual strengths and teams
- Must read, speak and understand English language in verbal and written communication
- Willing to learn; enjoys tackling new challenges
- Is organized and shows attention to detail, with a "get it right the first time" mindset
- Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs
- Works well with team members or independently; gives and receives feedback in a constructive manner
- Makes timely and sound decisions; uses resources wisely
- Displays a positive, can-do attitude; maintains composure when faced with difficult situations
- Ability to stand for duration of shift, up to 12 hours; frequent walking or climbing stairs
- Must be able to frequently lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Push and pull up to 90 lbs and carry 50 lbs
- Ability to work with exposure to inside and outside temperatures, loud noise, heights, and confined spaces
- Must be able to work up to a 12 hour shift, which includes overtime, weekends and some holidays
Your Education- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
