Amazon is looking for a Technical Program Manager to join the Amazon Logistics (AMZL) Utility Services team. This role is instrumental to delivering against sustainability goals tied to fleet electrification. The Utility Services team leads engagement with electric utilities and energy companies across North America and manages projects to ensure successful site-energization.
Key job responsibilities
• Earn trust with and manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure on-time deliverables.
• Lead and report on dedicated workstreams to review electrical drawings, power requirements and constraints, and equipment specifications.
• Serve as technical subject-matter-expert for Utility Services team.
• Review site-specific blockers and challenges and work collaboratively across teams to identify effective solutions.
• Review and negotiate agreements and evaluate opportunities to reduce capital and operating expense.
• Critically assess plans to identify blockers, analyze trade-off decisions, and escalate effectively.
• Develop scalable mechanisms to communicate efficiently and effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Invent and improve upon site-energization processes.
• Work cross-functionally with internal and external planning, design, engineering, supply chain, and project execution teams.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Experience working directly with engineering teams
- Experience with MS Project, MS Office, and MS Sharepoint
- Experience with construction projects, utility projects, and / or electrical-infrastructure projects

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
