As a
Sustainability Specialist you will help advance our sustainability initiatives, promote environmental stewardship, and lead internal and external communications efforts for the Qemetica silica business unit. This is a high collaborative position, working with most internal groups on a global basis, and interfacing externally with suppliers and customers when needed.
You will be located at PPG's Qemetica Monroeville, PA plant

Key Responsibilities- Help develop and implement sustainability strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Research developing regulations, industry trends, best practices, and sustainability solutions.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Commercial account planning and alignment to ensure up to date customer data.
- Analyze sustainability data and create reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal departments to foster a culture of sustainability.
- Work with Functional Leaders and the Learning and Development team, develop and deliver training programs for employees to promote sustainable practices
- Ensure compliance with a broad collection of sustainability related regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement product branding strategies to ensure consistent and impactful brand representation across all marketing channels.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience relative to sustainability or corporate responsibility in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with sustainability regulations and frameworks (CSRD, CBAM, LEED, ISO 14001, CDP, ECOVADIS, etc.).
- Proficiency in data analysis software and sustainability reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and changing environment.
