This position is part of Andersen’s corporate environmental team which leads and supports a variety of environmental compliance programs and projects throughout the company’s U.S. and Canadian operations. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure environmental programs meet local, state, federal, and company requirements. Seek out and implement continuous improvement and standardization opportunities. Maintain and develop systems to capture and store data. Work with customers to ensure systems meet business needs.
- Develop and review regulatory submittals and internal reports. Oversee the preparation of technical submittals by consultants and site environmental staff. Successfully communicate with regulatory agencies to clarify program needs and requirements. Development of new environmental programs to meet a changing regulatory climate.
- Coordinate projects and compliance activities with Andersen network. Lead assessments and assist with the resolution of findings. Work with sites to develop and implement improvement opportunities.
- Specify the installation, operation, and maintenance of environmental monitoring and control equipment. Develop operation and maintenance programs to ensure equipment meets regulatory requirements.
- Support sustainability goals and assist operations with meeting objectives and targets.
- Develop and deliver essential training presentations, ensuring comprehensive regulatory training. Present to internal and external audiences.
- Conduct monitoring, testing, and inspections to meet program requirements.
- Populate, validate and enter data into regulatory documents.
- Work with contractors to ensure regulatory obligations are met.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, SKILL AND/OR COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
- 4 year Environmental, Engineering, or Science-related degree (e.g. chemistry, environmental science, biology) or equivalent and 2 or more years of related work experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations which could include air quality, hazardous waste, EPCRA 312/313, storm water, SPCC/tanks, and wastewater. Specialized knowledge in one or more regulatory areas and programs preferred.
- Demonstrates versatility in applying specialized technical knowledge in a variety of environmental compliance programs to meet customer needs.
- Candidate must be local to the MN area as there is no relocation assistance for this position.
COMPENSATION: Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $77K-$119K annually.
