Psomas invites you to bring your creativity and expertise to our Team as a landscape architect or designer in either our Seattle or Tacoma office. You will have the opportunity to learn and collaborate on diverse urban design and landscape architecture projects, shaping public spaces that inspire connection and inclusion.
We are especially interested in candidates eager to focus on municipal design projects including streetscapes, plazas, trails, parks, gateways, and wayfinding. As part of our team, you'll gain hands-on experience in all facets of landscape architecture and urban design including site design, design alternatives, public outreach, plan production, construction detailing, graphic communication, and planting/irrigation design.

This role is a temporary part-time position and is anticipated to be 6-months at a minimum of 20 hours per week.
Roles & Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary design teams on municipal streetscape, trail, plaza, park, and open space projects
- Handle multiple project commitments; take initiative to prioritize and be flexible; follow through on assigned tasks independently
- Produce construction documents, including technical detailing for construction plans, cost estimates, and specifications
- Provide construction support, including performing site visits, responding to RFIs, and reviewing shop drawings and material submittals
- Produce high-quality graphic renderings across a range of mediums
- Present design ideas visually, verbally, and/or in writing to both internal and external audiences
Minimum Qualifications - A bachelor's or master's degree in Landscape Architecture (BLA, BSLA, MLA)
- 2+ Years of relevant experience
- Professional experience with construction detailing and documentation with latest versions of AutoCAD™ Civil 3D
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign), SketchUp/other 3D rendering software
- Strong visual communication by hand and/or computer-generated graphic renderings
- Successful examples of design milestones and various project phases via portfolio submission
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Rhino, Lumion, Grasshopper, or similar
- Previous experience with streetscape, trail, plaza, park, open space and signage projects
- Project management experience

- A competitive salary! The genuinely expected range for this position is $40.00 - $52.00 per hour depending on experience
