Biologist to work onsite in Gaithersburg, MD.
We're looking for a Biologist to manufacture biological materials and standards. You'll work under minimal guidance to support the production of biological cultures and derivative products, as well as contribute to data collection and recording.
Join ATCC and be part of a team that supports the global scientific community with trusted, authenticated biological materials.Responsibilities- Manufacturing Operations: Perform manufacturing or quality control (QC) testing of biological products by following standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and other controlled documents. Maintain laboratory safety, operations, equipment, and supplies.
- Documentation: Maintain production batch records in compliance with good laboratory practices. Contribute to revisions of SOPs and work instructions. Collect, analyze, and report data, ensuring meticulous documentation.
- Product Development: Execute methods for the isolation, expansion, and cryopreservation of 2D and 3D models. Conduct feasibility testing, development, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a scientific field with 2-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
- Hands-on laboratory experience with primary cell culture, 2D and 3D model development, and aseptic technique.
- Attention to detail and ability to adhere to corporate policies and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively.
- Strong work ethic and an attitude of personal ownership and accountability for the success of a program.
- Familiarity with molecular/cellular techniques and working knowledge of cell production and ISO1009 certification is desired.
BenefitsThe expected salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional incentive compensation including regular merit increases and the corporate bonus program.
