Environmental Services Manager will oversee the daily liquid and solid waste operations in the Roseville warehouse. This person would potentially have 1-2 warehouse personnel reporting to them in the future. Drums and totes of non-hazardous waste must be managed daily and coordinated for processing, disposal or shipping off site to 3rd party vendors. Additional duties of overseeing the used oil inventory, burner fuel client relationships, dispatching Vacuum Sales & Service Reps to customers across Minnesota. This person will also help with building our additional environmental services offering which may include containerized waste, used oil, and oily water.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage 1-2 warehouse Environmental Tech’s to physically prepare, ship and / or process non-hazardous liquids, solids, absorbents, oil filters and potentially hazardous waste.
- Manage incoming totes and drums in Roseville.
- Ensure compliance of waste shipping (properly labeled and meets USDOT requirements).
- Segregate & offload truck transports of used oil, oily water, antifreeze, oil filters, and oily absorbents.
- Prepare and pump oily water into bulk tank for processing on site.
- Fill semi-trailer with drums to 3rd party vendor for processing, schedule and ship trailer.
- Manage daily container log, inventory waste and report discrepancies to manager.
- Process non-hazardous absorbent drums into solidification pit weekly.
- Help manage ordering of consumables, such as totes, empty drums, absorbents.
- Manage incoming new totes and ship used totes to vendor for processing and reconditioning.
- Own burner fuel customer experience (order scheduling and dispatching).
- Schedule and route oily water / vacuum services weekly business.
- Work with Valicor on incoming waste and schedule timing for offloading.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
Experience/Training:
- 3 plus years’ experience with RCRA, DOT, USEPA, OSHA
- Warehouse experience
- Forklift
- Computer skills
- Prior Management Experience preferred
Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have 3-years’ experience with OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations.
- Able to work indoors and outdoors.
- Basic computer skills – Microsoft suite
- Prior management experience preferred.
Physical demands: sitting, walking, twisting, squatting, reclining, climbing, kneeling, grasping, pushing, pulling, reaching, repetitive motion, lifting 75 pounds.
Mental Demands: Comprehend and follow instructions, perform assigned tasks, maintain an appropriate work pace, perform complex or varied tasks, relate to others, influence people, make decisions, direct, control, plan, interact with public or coworkers in written form, communicate orally, etc.
Environmental demands: Extreme cold or heat, noise, vibration, exposure to (dust/ gas/ fumes/steam/chemicals), work outdoors, work at heights, working around moving machinery, walking on uneven ground, PPE required, etc.
The anticipated hiring range for the role you are applying for is between $86,830 and $110,615 annually. This anticipated hiring range is based on several factors, and subject to increase based on the below:
