Job Description:
• Position is for a Nuclear Engineer II to help support a contractor team in providing program management assistance, shipboard technical and repair assistance, work product tracking, engineering technical analysis, data collection and analysis, metrics, development and testing support, engineering development models, and logistic product development for Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia, Code 23.
Specific duties for the Nuclear Engineer include:
• Assisting with the design and development of U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier propulsion systems and components or propulsion auxiliary systems
• Managing the development of Aircraft Carrier alterations and upgrades, including the design, development, maintenance, and sustainment of Aircraft Carrier systems, equipment, or spaces.
• Working with Navy Aircraft Carrier programs, organizations, functions, guidelines, and processes to help manage the lifecycle of the FORD and NIMITZ class carriers.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Two (2) years of experience with the design and development of U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier propulsion systems and components or propulsion auxiliary systems.
• Experience with Aircraft Carrier alterations and upgrades, including the design, development, maintenance, and sustainment of Aircraft Carrier systems, equipment, or spaces.
• Knowledge of Navy Aircraft Carrier programs, organizations, functions, guidelines, and processes.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• A secret security clearance
