Please note that applications close on Tuesday 7-May.Role Purpose: Sibelco recently signed the merger agreement of Strategic Materials Incorporated (SMI) in North America, consisting of a portfolio of 42 glass recycling sites, in the USA, Canada & Mexico.
Working alongside the Director M&A Integration, this role is responsible for supporting with defining, planning, implementing, embedding and monitoring the integration of the new glass recycling business in North America into Sibelco's structure, systems and processes. The objective is to enable optimal integration effectiveness and maximum realisation of the M&A deal synergies.
Regular travel to various sites will be required.
Responsibilities: Integration Planning & Preparation: Working with the Director Integration to contribute to the planning and preparation for the North American glass recycling (SMI) integration into Sibelco, including, but not limited to:
- Ensuring an appropriate post-integration structure is developed and resourced to allow integration to start from day 1 after closing.
- Defining key business-as-usual and key value drivers are developed to focus the integration and track progress, define related KPIs.
- Coordinating the cross-functional integration team and guiding the definition of key functional integration checklists to be ready for day 1 after closing.
- Closely collaborating with external consultants, ensuring that all agreed recommendations are implemented in the integration process.
- Providing timely updates to ExCo and (sub-)regional leadership on integration planning, challenges and issues.
Integration Execution & Monitoring: - Work with the integration team & integration execution from day 1 after closing until transfer to business-as-usual.
- Support develop and monitor the Key Value Driver KPI's from day one after the execution, ensuring appropriate plans are in place to allow them to meet or exceed their objectives in an agreed timeline.
- Point of contact for questions from the integration team related to integration practices and process.
- Travel & spend time on Sandman assets, collaborate with the integration team.
- Escalate to Director Integration critical issues related to integration staffing and execution in order to ensure optimal facilitation of the integration activities.
- Ensure recurring meeting cadence to coordinate, guide, facilitate and follow up on integration progress.
About you: - Relevant degree qualification or equivalent by experience
- Extensive experience within a similar role
- In-depth understanding of key P&L metrics and financial KPIs
- Understanding of cross-functional project dimensions and interdependencies
- Pragmatic, action focused, and results oriented
- English - proficient verbal & writing
- Other languages are an asset
- Must be based in the USA or be open to relocating
