Job Title: Landscape Architect I
Reports to: Land Planning & Development Lead
YOUR ROLEThe Landscape Architect will participate in land planning and design for parks, recreational facilities, highways, and other properties including subdivisions and commercial and industrial sites.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Prepare site plans, specifications, and cost estimates for land development.
- Responsible for master planning/zoning and entitlements
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, or architects on landscape projects
- Analyze site conditions such as drainage and structure location for environmental purposes or landscaping plans
- Integrate existing land features or landscaping into designs
- Inspect landscape work to ensure compliance with specifications
- Prepare graphic representations or drawings of proposed plans or designs
- Review and interpret plans, drawings, site layouts, specifications, or construction methods to ensure compliance to legal requirements and safety regulations
- Prepare concepts for riverfront master planning and flood control
- Help to create Marketing/Sales Exhibits per client request.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE- Authorization to work in ND-U.S.
- Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture
- 3+ years of landscape architecture experience in land development
- Ability to obtain professional licensure (ND) within 2 years of hire.
- Knowledge of landscape elements, design, and construction methods and materials
- Strong understanding of zoning, subdivision, and environmental regulations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD required, Civil 3D preferred
- Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp required
- Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously and perform well under deadlines

This position is based in our Minot, ND office; however, occasional travel to other locations and business conferences may be required on an occasional basis.
Salary & Benefit Information
This is a full-time exempt position with a competitive salary based on experience, plus a competitive benefits package. As an additional benefit, Ackerman-Estvold compensates salaried individuals for overtime at the base rate for hours worked over 40 in a week.
