ResponsibilitiesJOB PURPOSEDynamic Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Pattern Energy Group, seeks an Interconnection Manager to support the growth of its community solar development platform.
This position reports to the Director of Early Development and will work closely with development and engineering teams to optimize the interconnection of Dynamic's pipeline of distributed solar projects. The Interconnection Manager will drive interconnection progress in alignment with Dynamic's market priorities across multiple States and leverage strong market intelligence and relationships with utility staff to mitigate interconnection challenges and delays.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES• Management of multiple, unique State-level interconnection processes, including budget, schedule, and risk
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant utility tariffs, solar and battery storage facility design, and technical standards
• Ownership of utility relationships and management of performance to tariff deadlines
• Periodically summarize and present interconnection status updates across all active markets to management
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONSRequired Work Experience - 3-5 years' experience in utility interconnection
Education- Bachelor's degree
- Master's degree in business or policy is preferred
Additional Requirements- Strong interpersonal skills; existing relationships with electric utility staff in active/emerging community solar markets are a plus
- Track record of negotiations with utility staff that have improved interconnection outcomes
- Forward-thinking and undaunted by challenges of early market entry; has the drive and creativity to establish successful early queue positions despite conflicting rules or gaps in policy
- Broad knowledge of distributed generation interconnection challenges and opportunities-past, present, and future
- Has the motivation and focus to distill key information from utility interconnection tariffs
- Strong technical understanding of solar and battery storage facility design and system components
- Demonstrated team player with success collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
- Skilled at time management and prioritization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Travel This position may be remotely based with periodic travel to the Wayne, PA headquarters and Boston, MA area.
The expected starting pay range for this role is $78,000 - $112,000 USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Dynamic's compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
