OverviewJOB SUMMARY: Drive sustainability progress in the Protein Products division with focus on environmental aspects. Identify, evaluate, monitor and manage projects in the area of beef sustainability in all segments of the beef value chain. Work with all stakeholders (internal, external, customers, suppliers, etc.) and serve as a subject matter expert in beef sustainability.
Responsibilities- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead sustainability initiatives for the Protein Products business units related to environmental aspects including emissions, energy, water, and waste. (30%)
- Support ESG reporting including data collection, calculation, and tracking for Protein Products in accordance with appropriate governing standards (g., GRI, SASB, CDP, SBTi, etc.). (25%)
- Manage tracking and reporting of key performance indicators related to Protein Products environmental matters. (10%)
- Collaborate with Protein Products leadership to support corporate environmental sustainability goals including education, training, and development of emissions reduction strategies and solutions. (10%)
- Develop reports and presentations for internal and external audiences. (10%)
- Serve as subject matter expert with industry organizations and customers on beef related topics. (10%)
- All other duties as assigned. (5%)
QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:
Education/Certification:- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study from an accredited college or university. Preferred advanced education and/or certifications in sustainability, environmental science, animal science, food science, or other related fields.
Experience:- 3+ years of relevant work experience or post-graduate sustainability-related degree.
- Experience or education in the beef production and agriculture industry.
