Job Summary:As an associate landscape architect, you will contribute to the planning, design, and implementation of landscape architecture projects. You will collaborate with senior landscape architects, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs that meet client expectations and project goals. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, design creativity, project management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:- Project Design and Development:
- Assist in the development of conceptual and schematic designs for landscape architecture projects.
- Prepare detailed design drawings, plans, sections, and specifications.
- Conduct site analysis, including site inventory and assessment of environmental, social, and physical characteristics.
Project Coordination and Management:- Coordinate with project teams to ensure design integrity and project goals are met.
- Assist in the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and proposals.
- Manage project tasks, deadlines, and deliverables under the guidance of senior staff.
Client Interaction and Communication:- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and workshops.
- Communicate design concepts and solutions effectively to clients and stakeholders.
- Address client feedback and incorporate revisions into design documents as needed.
Technical Expertise:- Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS for design and documentation.
- Stay updated on industry standards, trends, and best practices in landscape architecture.
- Ensure designs comply with local regulations and codes related to landscape architecture.
Construction Support:- Assist in the preparation of construction documents and specifications.
- Collaborate with contractors and consultants during the construction phase to ensure design intent is realized.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and quality.
Team Collaboration:- Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and other professionals on multidisciplinary projects.
- Mentor junior staff members and support their professional development.
Requirements:- Bachelor's or master's degree in landscape architecture.
- Hold PLA or eligibility to pursue licensure.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in landscape architecture, preferably in a design firm or consultancy.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and Microsoft Office. Revit experience is plus.
- Strong design and graphic presentation skills.
