Summary
Professor Lei Pan's research group at Michigan Technological University is seeking a motivated postdoctoral research associate to advance both science and engineering in the field of mineral processing and hydrometallurgical refining or primary nickel ores and recycling of Li-ion batteries. The primary focus will be black mass separation and lithium extraction and purification.

Responsibilities
Develop a research program in black mass separation and lithium extraction and purification.
Provide guidance and supervision to both graduate students and undergraduate researchers in this area.
Perform various laboratory-scale and pilot-scale experiments.
Preparing manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
Assisting with proposal writing and project administration.
Maintain a good safety record.
Required Education, Certifications, Licensures
- PhD in Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
Required Experience
- Four (4) years of experience in mineral processing and hydrometallurgical unit operations.
