Summary of PositionThe Chemical Engineering Program housed within the Rayen School of Engineering invites applications for Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) in Chemical Engineering. The program is looking for a faculty member with expertise preferably in petroleum engineering. The faculty member will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, advise graduate students in their theses/projects, and establish and sustain an externally funded research program in the field of expertise. With an expectation of future growth, the program is looking for an outstanding faculty member with a strong commitment to teaching, research, and service to the University, community, and the profession.
Teaching faculty members are encouraged to develop innovative teaching methods and educational enrichment activities.
Position InformationPlans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.
Ability to contribute to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the University community through teaching.

Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday, including some evenings, and the possibility of some weekend days.
Qualifications and CompetenciesRequired Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: None
Minimum Qualifications: An undergraduate degree in chemical engineering, and an earned Ph.D. in chemical engineering or a closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in teaching. Specialization in petroleum engineering.
