Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 / year

As a Professional Engineer for Water Resources, you will have the opportunity to be involved in water resources projects and large, multi-discipline projects including water resources planning, water transmission, sewer collection, stormwater drainage, flood control, and/or water and wastewater treatment, while developing diverse skill sets.
What are the core responsibilities for the role?- Design and analysis of water resources projects, including pipelines, pump stations, tanks and reservoirs
- Prepare studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of water resources projects
- Support project managers with client relations, stakeholder management, and sub-consultant coordination
- Interface with clients including state and local agencies
- Coordinate and conduct meetings with project stakeholders
- Coordinate with office management and other project managers to share resources
- Assist in proposal preparation including oral presentations. Also prepare the scope, schedule, and budget for new projects
- Work within a team of project managers, design engineers, technicians, and support staff to successfully complete a variety of projects
- Take ownership of projects from start to finish
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:- Experience and relationships with water and wastewater districts and public agencies are highly preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with, AutoCAD Civil 3D, 2D Modeling, WaterGEMS, sewerGEMS, and other applicable software
- Expertise in hydrologic and hydraulic software, including HEC-1, HEC-2, HEC-RAS, etc.
- Solid organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact with clients and multi-discipline team members.
- Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices
- Possess a proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited program in civil engineering (FE Complete)
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) required
- Minimum 2-4 years of hydraulics design experience including:
- Design of roadway drainage and flood control facilities
- Design of erosion control and water control facilities
- Experience in managing technical staff and project teams is desirable
- Ability to manage several projects concurrently
