About the role, Your ImpactBaxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for an engineering internship in our Peoria, IL office. This on-the job experience will support the firm's water resources group with the design and construction of a variety of facilities and offer the opportunity to work directly with firm clients. A variety of responsibilities and duties will provide a well-rounded background in engineering.
What your day-to-day will look like, what you will learn on the job - Assisting senior engineers with the evaluation, study and design of stormwater systems.
- Field work, studies and design of stormwater infrastructure.
- Collaboration with other technical departments (Infrastructure, Transportation, CADD, etc...)
- Construction work including quantity computation, construction layout, survey and construction inspection.
Education Requirement - Ongoing pursuit of a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Environmental Engineering.
Must-haves, what you will bring - Maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0.
- Available to start May 2025.
- Ability to travel throughout Chicago area (own transportation).
- Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of projects.
- Strong verbal, computer, organizational, and writing skills.
Compensation The hourly pay for this role is $22.00. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
