This position is responsible for reporting staff payroll; supervising employees; makes hiring recommendations; conducts performance appraisals; arranges employees work schedules. Responsible for all programming and marketing of the facility.

• Reports Staff Payroll.
• Supervises employees and create work schedules and fill out weekly reports.
• Makes hiring recommendations.
• Responsible for planning, organization and evaluation of daily programs.
• Responsible for all marketing aspects of the aquatic center.
• Performs lifeguard and first aid skills in accordance with appropriate certifications.
• Communicates with patrons concerning the aquatic center.
• Assists in teaching swim lessons.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree in Parks and Recreation, Leisure Management, or related field is required. Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions and to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with two years of experience or service. Lifeguard Certifications, Water Safety Instructor (WSI), Certified Pool/Spa Operator (CPO), Lifeguard Training Certification (LGT), First Aid, CPR and AED for adults, children and infants are required. Valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment required.

The work is typically performed while intermittently sitting, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, walking or climbing a ladders. The employee frequently lifts light and occasionally heavy objects up to twenty-five pounds; uses tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity; must be able to distinguish between shades of color and utilize sense of smell. The work is typically performed in an office, library, computer room Aquatic Center or outdoors, occasionally in cold or inclement weather. The employee may be exposed to loud noise, dust, machinery with moving parts, and irritating chemicals. The work may require the use of protective devices such as masks, goggles, or gloves.
