SUSTAINABILITY INNOVATION
Our recent innovations include the Republic Services Polymer Center, the nation’s first integrated plastics recycling facility, and Blue Polymers, a joint venture with Ravago. We are expanding our network of Polymer Centers and advancing decarbonization at our landfills with 70 landfill gas-to-energy projects in operation, planning to expand to 115 projects by 2028.
$2,000 sign-on bonus and $250 quarterly tool stipend offered. Under direct supervision from a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager, a Maintenance Technician C performs preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks.Requirements include basic knowledge of vehicle systems to undertake routine maintenance and repair.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains knowledge of a vehicle's mechanical and electrical systems to perform maintenance and repair tasks, including:
- Vehicle PM inspections and adjustments
- Oil changes and fluids replenishment
- Adjustments and repairs including tire changes and basic electrical work
- Visual inspections to identify potential issues
- Completion of applicable Company training programs
QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of a certified diesel maintenance program is a plus but not required. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification T8 PM is a plus but not required. A valid Driver’s License is preferred.
