Job SummaryThe Home Energy Systems Manager (HESM) will spearhead the development and maintenance of a comprehensive data infrastructure to support a $135M Solar for All Program that will be deployed across 14 native communities. This program is expected to steward the deployment of solar, energy storage, energy efficiency, and electrification strategies in the homes of tribal members. The HESM focuses on managing all aspects of optimizing home energy systems through rigorous data collection, analysis, and reporting, ensuring effective project documentation and compliance with federal reporting standards.
Areas of ResponsibilitiesDevelop and Manage Data Platforms
- Oversee the development, customization, and evolution of platforms for collecting and managing data from home energy assessments, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
Technical Support and Training
- Provide technical support and training to REMs and on-site staff on data collection methods and client interaction, enhancing the content, quality and consistency of data gathered.
Data Coordination and Analysis
- Coordinate the management of data from home assessments, collect, evaluate, and ensure the quality and integrity of the data and documentation of completed work.
Home Energy Contracting
- Develop scopes of work for home energy upgrades based on home assessment data for use in procurement of contractors, and oversee the implementation of quality assurance measures including archival of as-built conditions.
Reporting and Compliance
- Generate comprehensive reports on project progress and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders, including the EPA, focusing on quality assurance reporting, energy savings and GHG impact evaluations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Management, or a related field that serves one or more aspects of this position.
- 5+ years of experience in the deployment of home energy efficiency programs for utilities or local governments, and the respective data management and quality assurance measures, with a demonstrated understanding of home energy systems and efficiency upgrades.
- Knowledge of home energy systems and energy efficiency measures across building construction, mechanical systems, and appliances.
- Proficient in data management software platforms used to collect, manage, and report on home energy program implementation.
- Strong technical skills in assessing energy systems, excellent interpersonal skills for effective homeowner and team communication, and a thorough understanding of federal energy efficiency methodologies in terms of energy savings, cost savings, and Greenhouse gas impact.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Suite.
- Strong customer service, negotiation skills and ability to interact with employees and customers.
- Self-starter with excellent time management, multitasking and organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic and sense of integrity, trustworthiness and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Creative in brainstorming and proposing new ideas and solutions to existing problems.
- Willing and able to travel occasionally, including overnight travel.

Compensation & Benefits: The salary range for this position is $75,000-$90,000 per year and is negotiable based on qualifications and experience. We have a comprehensive and competitive benefits package for full time employees including health insurance and paid time off.
