Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
Greets members, guests, and staff with exemplary service, a smile and empathy.
Provides quality instruction based on the guidelines set by the Red Cross, the Aquatic Director, and McLeod Health and Fitness Center.
Instructs swimming program by identifying learning objectives, presenting instructional methodologies, and providing appropriate feedback and stimulation for continues learning.
Provides the appropriate instruction for the class being offered.
Evaluates participant's progress by assessing degree of improvement.
Assists participant in determining course of action to continue to improve swimming skills and level of health and fitness.
Act in a professional manner at all times.
Ensures member retention in aquatic programs by maintaining a high standard of customer service and quality instruction.
Accurately instructs participants on safe and proper form; makes corrections professionally and provides feedback
Maintains thorough, accurate, and current attendance records.
Is knowledgeable of MHFC programs and promotes them whenever appropriate.
Maintains a professional image by following dress code at all times.
Acts in a professional manner with members guests, and staff at all times.
Exhibits good listening skills when member or staff issues arise, and problem solves professionally. Defers to Aquatic Coordinator if issues need further arbitration.
Maintains a neat, clean, and orderly exercise environment. Returns all equipment to proper storage area.
Brings Aquatic Coordinator any questions regarding clients' special needs or desires.
Uses appropriate resources to refer when needed. Does not offer advice outside area of own expertise.
Is able and willing to teach all levels.
Is a role model of good health.
Ensures all policies and procedures of the department and the Center are being followed by members, guests and self.
Attends CPR and First Aid practice sessions.
Attends and actively participates in staff training as scheduled.
Supervises each participant for safety during all phases of the class
Reports all incidences or injuries using the proper forms and submits to the Manager On Duty.
Attends and actively participates in staff meetings as scheduled.
Effectively teaches workshops or assists with community events as needed.
