Primary ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Water Resources Engineering Intern, we'll count on you to:
- Work under project engineers on the application of various design engineering and modeling techniques in the development of water resource projects for federal, state and local clients
- Focus on hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater collection systems modeling, data collection, assimilation, and presentations
- Focus on projects including flood control, river design, stream grade control structures, dike systems, levees, stream channel restoration/rehabilitation, wetland and lake restoration, watershed issues and non-point source loading and point source design
- Focus on civil design and development of construction documents for water resources and stormwater projects
- Produce design calculations, draft technical reports and perform water resources studies
- Perform limited field work as required by current project load
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications- 3 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
- Completion of a previous internship in the field of water resources engineering
- Experienced with software platforms such as AutoCAD, Microstation, ArcGIS, and hydraulic modeling software
- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to water resources engineering
- Preference given to local candidates
