Responsibilities

Process and recycle plant scrap material in an efficient manner
Maintain the cleanliness of the scrap area
Ensure recyclable material is sorted appropriately and report non-compliance
Operate machinery in accordance with all safety regulations
Work in a safe manner, follow all safety rules and report any potential safety hazards to management
Responsible for ensuring work area is clean and organized per 6S standards
Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

Must be able to bend, lift, reach, and twist repetitively
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. through out the course of the day
Must have good physical stamina and ability to handle hot/cold weather
Must speak English fluently and read basic instructions in English.
Must be a motivated, self-starter with a sense of urgency
Able to work in a team setting as well as work independently
Must be flexible with start and end times and work overtime when required.

*This is a Union Position and Pays $17.50/HR
