PeaceHealth is seeking a Program Manager Energy for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $44.25 - $66.37. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.
Energy Program Manager leads PeaceHealth's efforts in optimizing energy efficiency and sustainability within our organization. The Energy Program Manager will develop and implement comprehensive energy management strategies, oversee energy conservation projects, and ensure compliance with current and future regulatory standards. This role requires strong project management skills, technical expertise in energy systems, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ideal candidate would have a current Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification.
Details of the Position:
- Strategic Planning: Develops and implements comprehensive energy management strategies aligned with organizational goals and sustainability objectives. Identifies opportunities for energy efficiency improvements, renewable energy integration, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about local, state, and federal energy regulations, codes, and standards. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitate necessary permits or approvals for energy projects.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze energy consumption data, trends, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize energy usage. Prepare regular reports and presentations on energy consumption, savings achieved, and project status updates for stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of energy management strategies and initiatives. Recommend and implement process improvements and technological advancements to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability efforts.
- Project Management: Lead energy conservation projects from conception to completion, including feasibility assessments, budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management. Monitor project progress, ensure adherence to timelines and budgets, and report project outcomes to senior management.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, including facilities management, engineering, finance, and procurement, to implement energy efficiency initiatives and achieve consensus on project priorities. Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, energy consultants, utility providers, and government agencies to leverage resources and funding opportunities.

What You Bring:
Education
- Bachelor's Degree Required: Engineering. or equivalent experience in an engineering or facility operations field.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years Required: Proven experience (5+ years) in energy management, sustainability, or related fields, with a track record of successfully managing energy projects.
Credentials
- Required within 6 months: Certified Energy Manager Strong understanding of energy systems, HVAC systems, lighting, renewable energy technologies, and energy modeling.
- Preferred : Project Management Professional Certification Project management certification (e.g., PMP) and knowledge of project management methodologies.
Skills
- Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Energy Star Portfolio Manager, Microsoft Excel (Required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels (Required)
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team (Required)
