SENIOR WATER RESOURCES ENGINEER

THIS OPPORTUNITY:
As a Senior Engineer, you are a leader with the opportunity to grow and mentor a high-performing team of talented and skilled engineering professionals. You will use your management skills to plan and organize the team's efforts and take responsibility for cost control, staffing, and quality. Your demonstrated professionalism will come into play as you cultivate and nurture client relationships and build the Egis US brand in Michigan by participating in state and regional associations. Use your strength as a communicator to assist with proposals and direct marketing efforts.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage all aspects of civil projects from conceptual phase to final design
• Manage and coordinate work efforts performed
• Develop and nurture relationships with key clients in the region
• Assist in direct marketing efforts, including proposal writing, trade show/conference attendance, etc.
• Responsibility for all aspects of projects: cost control, staffing and quality control
• Satisfy client requirements
• Maintain industry recognition through prominence in state and regional professional associations
• Promote and maintain the presence and image of BLN in the marketplace
• Develop and implement strategies for expansion throughout Michigan market
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with 10-15 years of related experience
• Drinking Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant modeling and design expertise
• Registered Professional Engineer in Michigan or the ability to obtain PE within 6 months
• Funding and Review Agency expertise
• Knowledge and experience with plant operations
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Established relationships with clients, such as GLWA, DWSD, local Municipalities and private sector entities
• Active in relevant professional organizations/societies
