Responsibilities:- Direct and coordinate water resource design activities with other disciplines.
- Lead water resource design efforts.
- Work with clients and other staff members and subconsultants on multiple concurrent projects through the planning, design, and construction phases.
- Mentor staff and serve as a leader in improving procedures and leveraging new technologies to obtain greater process efficiency.
- Direct or assist as directed by the executive team in project planning, budgeting, and establishing critical project objectives.
Qualifications:- B.S. in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
- PE licensure is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience performing:
- Hydrologic analysis using TR-55, TR-20, HydroCAD, and/or similar software.
- Hydraulic design of open channels and closed storm drainage systems.
- Design of stormwater management BMPs, including but not limited to:
- Stormwater extended detention facilities, stormwater retention, infiltration, recharge, or Bioretention facilities, Constructed wetlands, and Green technology BMPs.
- Design of soil erosion and sediment control measures and construction phasing for road and bridge projects.
- At least 5 years of experience applying and interpreting:
- Delaware Sediment and Stormwater Regulations, DNREC Division of Watershed Engineering Delaware Erosion & Sediment Control Handbook, and Construction sites for compliance with NPDES Construction General Permit and DelDOT E&SC requirements.
- Knowledge of DelDOT standards, including but not limited to:
- Standard Specifications, standard Construction Details, and ES2M Wiki.
- Proficiency with Bentley MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer
- Experience in coordinating work activities and monitoring schedules and budgets is a plus.
- Good work ethic with a desire to work in a collaborative environment.
RequirementsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:- Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
- Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language
- Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
- Able to traverse a construction job site consisting of uneven ground varying in height and consistency of material, with a variation of elevation 19" or less (mud, gravel, rutted ground, etc.
- Able to wear GPI required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working
- Able to move equipment or inspection specimens weighing up to 50 pounds
