Education / Training• Bachelor's degree; preferred;
• Project management experience; critical thinking and problem-solving skills; courage to make challenging decisions; understanding of production process and SOP's.
Key Job Elements• Delegates duties to the workforce to keep current and upcoming projects on tasks;
• Administers internal and external material movements such as support on ERP planning regarding supply chain of Railcar dismantling;
• Maintains and measures equipment fleet for accurate operational thru put. Tracks cost savings thru improved equipment R&M and Uptime;
• Responsible for customer contact on Quality issues regarding assets purchased;
• Handles Recycling Division Procurement on LSA (Long Term Service Agreements) and coordinates with Facility Managers/General Managers on all quotes for CEA assets;
• Provides weekly and monthly reports on project status; develops and maintains reporting for various stakeholders in current projects as required;
• Involved in Lean initiatives and operation thru put projects to support operations;
• Supports long term Capital projects with Operations and Finance.
Qualifications and Experience• Understanding of various facets of the company: production supervision, supply chain, quality, engineering, HR, Finance, etc.; ability to interface with support groups and understand how each function to manage team effectively;
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral;
• Ability to work together in a team environment; ability to manage a diverse workforce;
• Understanding of scheduling and manpower planning;
• Strong proficiency in software applications and ERP systems; strong proficiency with Excel and other MS Office tools;
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and effectively handle work assignments, projects, and responsibilities.
