The Power Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems and components related to power generation, transmission, and distribution.
Duties- Design and develop power electronic circuits and systems, including DC-DC converters, solid state transformers, and high-speed motor drives.
- Create and optimize PCB layouts for power electronics, ensuring minimal noise and interference while maintaining efficiency.
- Design and test DSP digital control algorithms.
- Perform simulations and analysis to validate circuit performance and reliability.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and production staff, to ensure seamless integration and troubleshooting.
- Review and analyze circuit designs and PCB layouts to identify potential issues and implement corrective measures.
- Develop and document design specifications, test procedures, and other technical documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to power electronics and PCB design.
Requirements- Must be a U.S. Citizen due to the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance for government projects.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance, plus if already have one.
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- 8+ years of experience in Power Electrical Engineering is required.
- Experience with designing and testing SiC based power electronic converter topologies is required.
- Ability to design and test low and medium voltage.
- Experience working with the Navy is a plus.
