Our Landscape Architecture and Urban Design (LAUD) practice works on a variety of projects with a focus on educational environments, parks, streetscapes, urban design, green stormwater infrastructure design, and environmental restoration. This position is for a Landscape Architect/Project Manager in the Seattle-Bellevue area based out of our Seattle or Bellevue office.
About the Role
In this position you will work closely with our Landscape Architecture team, playing an essential, collaborative role in:
- Manage landscape architectural projects in all sectors of our work including education, parks, urban design, and restoration.
- Collaborate with our internal team as well as our clients and co-consultant design teams such as architects, planners, engineers.
- Contributing your design skills to a variety of project types.
- Bring your passion, knowledge, and design abilities to the table to create amazing places.
About You
We're looking for someone collaborative, thorough, and well organized, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Multitasking skills are also essential for success.
We're looking for someone with:
- 6-10 years' experience in the field of Landscape Architecture.
- Bachelors (BLA) or Masters (MLA) degree from an accredited Landscape Architecture program.
- Landscape Architect licensure (preferred) and continuing education in areas of the industry. Washington State licensure is preferred, but we can help you obtain a reciprocal or additional license.
- Strong landscape architectural design skills at various scales (site, planting, irrigation, detailing) from planning through construction.
- Project management experience including all phases of projects, scheduling, managing budgets, coordinating with clients and design consultants, understanding project permit requirements, and producing drawing/specification/cost estimate packages. Experience with multiple project delivery methods desired.
- Successful built projects and construction administration expertise.
- Solid computer software skills in AutoCAD/Civil 3d, Sketchup, and Adobe Creative Suite, Land F/X, and other industry software. Software training is available.
- Strong graphic skills and the ability to guide others in the development of graphic deliverables.
- Excellent communication skills, spoken and in writing.
- Ability to prioritize, manage time, supervise others, and set goals.
- Active interest in growing your knowledge base and professional connections.

This position will be based in our Seattle office and there is opportunity for hybrid work.

The expected compensation range for this position for employees based in the Seattle area is $95,000 - $110,000 annually and is dependent upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
